Speaker notes: Cmin data come from the Liverpool
data base for the first 5 PIs, with the Cmin value for
ABT-378 being provided by Abbott.
IC95 data come from recent publications by Molla (1998)
and Condra (2000).
Combining these Cmin and IC95 data give an
inhibitory quotient (IQ) for the different PIs.
Although the values will be subject to marked variability, it is
the rank order of IQs which is important, and clearly with ABT-378/r
there is a great deal of leeway (larger therapeutic margin) when
compared with single PIs:
value
of ~40 for ABT-378/r compared with values of less than 5.
