This interaction has not been studied. Plasma concentrations of atorvastatin are expected to increase when co-administered with atazanavir/cobicistat or darunavir/cobicistat. Co-administration of atorvastatin with cobicistat is not recommended. If the use of atorvastatin is considered strictly necessary, the lowest possible dose of atorvastatin should be administered with careful monitoring. Consult the Summary of Product Characteristics of atazanavir or darunavir for further information on use in combination with these medicinal products.

 

Coadministration may increase concentrations of atorvastatin. Start with the lowest recommended dose and titrate while monitoring for safety.
