Cabotegravir [oral] (CAB oral)

Quality of Evidence: Very Low

Summary:

Coadministration has not been studied. Multivitamins may contain polyvalent cations. Cabotegravir, similarly to other integrase inhibitors, chelates with polyvalent cations such as magnesium resulting in a reduced absorption of cabotegravir. Multivitamin preparations containing polyvalent cations should be administered at least 2 hours before or 4 hours after taking oral cabotegravir.
