Coadministration has not been studied. Macrogol is unabsorbed from the gastrointestinal tract and is excreted, unaltered, in faeces. Any macrogol that does enter the circulation is excreted in urine. Darunavir/cobicistat is metabolized by CYP3A4. However, the absorption of other oral medications may be reduced due to increased gastrointestinal transit with macrogol. Do not take macrogol within two hours of taking another oral medication. [Note: this interaction is not specific for darunavir/cobicistat, but for any oral medication taken with macrogol.]
