The effect of rosiglitazone (4 mg) on saquinavir was evaluated in a single patient in an outpatient clinic. Following 28 days treatment with rosiglitazone, there were decreases in SQV AUC, Cmax and Cmin of 9%, 34% and 19% respectively. The authors conclude that due to the singular measurement, no recommendation can be given for the coadministration of rosiglitazone and saquinavir.
