Quality of Evidence:
Coadministration has not been studied but based on metabolism and clearance, a clinically significant interaction is unlikely. Clofazimine is largely excreted unchanged in the faeces, both as unabsorbed drug and via biliary excretion. Although both drugs have risks of QT prolongation and/or TdP on the CredibleMeds.org website (conditional risk for clofazimine; possible risk for lopinavir/ritonavir), the risk of QT interval prolongation is considered to be low as no significant pharmacokinetic interaction is expected.
